Bosnia and Herzegovina

Swedesurvey’s first project in Bosnia and Herzegovina was a two-year cadastral development project. Then in 2009 Swedesurvey undertook a World Bank financed project on behalf of the Federal Ministry of Justice to design an information system. Particular focus was given to finding solutions for the effective transfer of existing cadastre and land registry records in order to shorten and rationalize land administration procedures. A similar project was recently completed in the Republic of Srpska; a strategy was put forward for the reconstruction and integration of the existing cadastre systems and land book systems so that, by using modern communication technologies, users can quickly be provided with high quality and reliable information on real estate.
