The Hebei provincial GPS project

The Hebei provincial GPS project has been finalized successfully. A meeting of acceptance was held on April 26, 2010 in Shijiazhuang, Hebei Province, China. The meeting was presided by Mr. Cao Li, the Chief Engineer of HBSM, experts from Beijing, Tianjin and some officials from the financial authorities and planning authorities participated the meeting. Mr. Xianli Zhang, Managing Director of Geointech, gave a detail presentation about the project implementation and project results. The system was highly appraised by the experts and HBSM. The Hebei Provincial GPS project was undertaken by Swedesurvey together with the Chinese partners. It started from April 2010 when the contract between Swedesurvey and HBSM came into force. Swedesurvey provided the GPS receivers and some other goods, and most importantly the technical solutions, many experiences and lessons have been drawn from the Swepos system. 32 reference stations have been established covering the whole province, VRS service is provided in the south region and DGPS in the north. There is a high demand for such a system in the market, even the system is only in the test operating stage for 6 months, about 200 users have registered. 12 April, 2010 Rwanda Land Use and Development Master Plan.
