Swedesurvey was responsible for the Real Estate Tax and Valuation System Development component within the World Bank funded Real Estate Registration Modernization Project. Models and systems of mass valuation for taxation based on market values were developed and tested and advice provided on the drafting of new legislation. A proposal was put forward for organizational changes and training held in market valuation and the building of valuation models for mass valuation. Swedesurvey also supervised the work of our local partners who were responsible for the technical aspects of system development. On completion of the project the client requested further consultancies from Swedesurvey to give advice on the implementation of the mass appraisal system and lead a number of study visits to Sweden for new Slovenian staff.

Swedesurvey signed a contract in August 2013 with the Ministry of Infrastructure and Spatial Planning, The Surveying and Mapping Authority of the Republic of Slovenia. The project will last to October 2014.
