In September a delegation from Department of Land and Survey was visiting Swedesurvey as part of the running EU Twinning project “Reducing Discrepancies between the Physical Reality and the Graphical Cadastral Information in Jordan for the Department of Lands and Survey”.
The project is focused on enhancing the technical and administrative capacities of the Department in the field of cadastre and land administration in order to provide complete, accurate compared with reality, and up to date information and data.
The main objective with the study visit was to show best practices in cadastral procedures and services. The main purpose was to make the Jordanian officials acquainted and to share experience how cadastral working methods could be efficiently organized. During the study visit ideas and know-how were also transferred regarding methods for re-engineering of the cadastral procedures. The week also included a visit to Norrtälje district registration office to show in practice how a cadastral office could be well organized.
This project is financed by the European Union under the Support to the Implementation of the Action Plan Program (SAPP-III)
